Enjoy videos, photos and music on your TV with TrekStor’s MovieStation pocket c.uc multimedia hard disk
Lorsch, 26.11.2008 – TrekStor, the leading manufacturer of high quality MP3 players, external hard disks and USB sticks, is launching its second external multimedia hard disk - the MovieStation pocket c.uc, which enables digital videos, photos and music stored on the device to be relayed directly to a TV or hi-fi system.Among the features on the new MovieStation pocket c.uc is the memory card slot, which allows data to be transferred effortlessly from memory card to disk without the need for a computer. Photos, music or video recordings can be viewed immediately and directly by simply connecting the MovieStation to a television, the digital contents can then be selected to view or listen to via an on-screen menu.
Individual playback sequences can be defined for stored files using self-created playlists. The ID3 tag display for musical files shows the music title and artist as well as additional information, such as the album title. The MovieStation pocket c.uc is also a great way to store and transport large digital film collections which can then be viewed on any TV set.
The TrekStor MovieStation pocket c.uc can play videos in MPEG-1, MPEG-2 (DVD) and MPEG-4 format (AVI: DivX3/5, Xvid) and music and audio books in MP3, WMA and WAV files. It also supports JPEG format. Data and multimedia content can be transferred from any computer via a high speed USB 2.0 interface, or directly from a memory card (SD, MMC and xD with up to 2GB storage capacity).
The MovieStation also comes with a standard composite output for displaying videos as well as a high end component connection (YUV/Y/Pb/Pr). While audio signals are trans-mitted to the TV set and hi-fi system via the stereo cinch cable. Automatic backups can also be performed using the accompanying software, Nero BackItUp 2 Essentials.
Price and availability
The new MovieStation pocket c.uc with inclusive Nero BackItUp 2 Essentials software, comes in an exclusive soft-touch casing and its 2.5” hard disk drive makes it smaller and more energy efficient than its predecessor. It is now available from all the usual specialist outlets; prices range from £99.99 (250 GB) to £139.99 (500 GB).
The MovieStation pocket c.uc also comes with an infrared remote control unit, power supply, AV and YUV adapter cables, a SCART adapter, software CD and a multilingual user guide.
